Discovery Montessori Academy

Discovery Montessori Academy in Discovery Bay combines Montessori elementary education with the IB Primary Years Programme. Its bilingual English–Putonghua environment gives children opportunities to learn and communicate in both languages throughout the school day. Hands-on materials, prepared classrooms and inquiry across subjects encourage independence, concentration and connections between ideas. Chinese learning is adapted for native and non-native speakers, with traditional characters used for reading and writing. The academy's primary programme serves children aged approximately six to twelve and forms part of the wider Discovery Montessori community. Its distinctive blend of Montessori practice and the PYP framework supports academic development alongside self-discipline, creativity and social responsibility.
