School Mission, Curriculum & Teaching Capacity
Mission: The school aims to optimizing each child's potential through the shared joy of learning and teaching.
Curriculum: The kindergarten offers a local curriculum that follows the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, organizes learning around life-related themes, includes project-based inquiry, and incorporates music, arts and physical activities. Learning is supported through play-based exploration, music, movement, art and physical activities, and experiments, discovery and STEAM activities. Children's progress is assessed through ongoing observation, theme or unit assessments, and learning portfolios.
Support to Students: The kindergarten supports children through gradual adaptation or orientation activities for new children, Primary One transition preparation, mock activities or school visits, social worker, counselling or referral services, language support, including help for non-Chinese speaking children where needed, and enrichment, interest-class and life-wide learning opportunities. It maintains close home-school partnership through meetings, parent days and individual interviews, class observations, open days or school visits, parenting seminars, talks and workshops, and parent volunteer teams, groups or associations.
