First Assembly of God Kindergarten is a non-profit-making kindergarten in Kowloon City, founded in 1956 and offering a local curriculum. Centred on Biblical truth and spiritual education, the school nurtures children in an environment of love and encourages care for others and society. Teaching uses learning through play, practical experience, Montessori life skills, sensory learning, mathematics, language, culture, nature, project approach and picture-book interaction. Children's learning is recorded through continuous observation, unit assessment, summative assessment and individual learning portfolios covering cognitive, social, emotional, aesthetic and physical development. The school aims to help children learn happily and grow with Christ's love.

School Mission, Curriculum & Teaching Capacity

Mission: Guided by Christian values, the school aims to provide a safe, caring and joyful learning environment and inspire curiosity, creativity and active learning.

Curriculum: The kindergarten offers a local curriculum that follows the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, incorporates music, arts and physical activities, and integrates Christian values. Learning is supported through thematic teaching, project inquiry, play-based exploration, and storytelling and picture books. Children's progress is assessed through ongoing observation, continuous assessment, theme or unit assessments, and learning portfolios.

Support to Students: The kindergarten supports children through gradual adaptation or orientation activities for new children, Primary One transition preparation, mock activities or school visits, and differentiated support for children's varied learning needs. It maintains close home-school partnership through class observations, open days or school visits, parent-child activities, outings and school events, and parent volunteer teams, groups or associations.
