Ching Chung Yu Nga Kindergarten

Mission: The school aims to support children's holistic development, nurture good character and positive values, and build confidence, independence and self-care.

Curriculum: The kindergarten offers a local curriculum that follows the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, is child-centred and aligned with children's development, organizes learning around life-related themes, and encourages exploration and hands-on learning. Learning is supported through thematic teaching, play-based exploration, outdoor activities, visits and field trips, and music, movement, art and physical activities. Children's progress is assessed through ongoing observation and learning portfolios.

Support to Students: The kindergarten supports children through gradual adaptation or orientation activities for new children, Primary One transition preparation, mock activities or school visits, professional support for children with diverse learning or developmental needs, individual observation, assessment and guidance, and enrichment, interest-class and life-wide learning opportunities. It maintains close home-school partnership through meetings, parent days and individual interviews, class observations, open days or school visits, parent-child activities, outings and school events, and newsletters, surveys, home visits or resource sharing.
