Kowloon City Baptist Church Hay Nien Kindergarten is a non-profit-making kindergarten in Sha Tin, founded in 1989 and offering a local curriculum. Mission: Guided by Christian values, the school aims to offer Christian education to develop our children for lifelong learning and uphold the mission of the church to preach the gospel and follow the example of Jesus Christ to nurture our children.

Curriculum: The kindergarten offers a local curriculum that follows the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, organizes learning around life-related themes, supports holistic development, and cultivates positive values and character. Learning is supported through thematic teaching, project inquiry, storytelling and picture books, and experiments, discovery and STEAM activities. Children's progress is assessed through ongoing observation, continuous assessment, and parent-teacher communication.

Support to Students: The kindergarten supports children through social worker, counselling or referral services, individual observation, assessment and guidance, and health, safety and emotional care. It maintains close home-school partnership through meetings, parent days and individual interviews, parent-child activities, outings and school events, and newsletters, surveys, home visits or resource sharing.
