Lock Tao Christian Kindergarten

Lock Tao Christian Kindergarten is a non-profit-making kindergarten in Sai Kung, founded in 2003 and offering a local curriculum. School Mission, Curriculum & Teaching Capacity

Mission: Guided by Christian values, the school aims to provide a safe, caring and joyful learning environment, support children's holistic development, nurture good character and positive values, and work closely with families and the community.

Curriculum: The kindergarten offers a local curriculum that follows the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, organizes learning around life-related themes, cultivates positive values and character, and incorporates music, arts and physical activities. Learning is supported through thematic teaching, group and small-group activities, outdoor activities, visits and field trips, and bilingual English and Chinese experiences. Children's progress is assessed through ongoing observation, progress reports, and parent-teacher communication.

Support to Students: The kindergarten supports children through gradual adaptation or orientation activities for new children, Primary One transition preparation, mock activities or school visits, professional support for children with diverse learning or developmental needs, and language support, including help for non-Chinese speaking children where needed. It maintains close home-school partnership through meetings, parent days and individual interviews, parenting seminars, talks and workshops, parent-child activities, outings and school events, and parent volunteer teams, groups or associations.
