School Mission, Curriculum & Teaching Capacity
Mission: Guided by Christian values, the school aims to provide a safe, caring and joyful learning environment, support children's holistic development, use play and life-wide experiences to enrich learning, nurture good character and positive values, and inspire curiosity, creativity and active learning.
Curriculum: The kindergarten offers a local curriculum that follows the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, is child-centred and aligned with children's development, organizes learning around life-related themes, and develops creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills. Learning is supported through project inquiry, play-based exploration, outdoor activities, visits and field trips, and music, movement, art and physical activities. Children's progress is assessed through ongoing observation, continuous assessment, learning portfolios, and progress reports.
Support to Students: The kindergarten supports children through gradual adaptation or orientation activities for new children and social worker, counselling or referral services. It maintains close home-school partnership through meetings, parent days and individual interviews, parenting seminars, talks and workshops, parent-child activities, outings and school events, and parent volunteer teams, groups or associations.
