School Mission, Curriculum & Teaching Capacity
Mission: The school aims to support balanced development in spiritual, moral, intellectual, physical, communal, and artistic aspects is promoted besides providing enjoyable learning environment and our expectation is to nourish students who are self-confident, respect the others and pursue life learning.
Curriculum: The kindergarten offers a school-based local curriculum that follows the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, encourages exploration and hands-on learning, supports holistic development, and develops creativity, thinking and problem-solving skills. Learning is supported through group and small-group activities, outdoor activities, visits and field trips, experiments, discovery and STEAM activities, and individual guidance and differentiated support. Children's progress is assessed through ongoing observation, continuous assessment, theme or unit assessments, and learning portfolios.
Support to Students: The kindergarten supports children through gradual adaptation or orientation activities for new children, Primary One transition preparation, mock activities or school visits, social worker, counselling or referral services, and reading and language enrichment. It maintains close home-school partnership through notices, handbooks, digital platforms and direct teacher contact, meetings, parent days and individual interviews, class observations, open days or school visits, parenting seminars, talks and workshops, and parent-child activities, outings and school events.
