Medium of Instruction & Curriculum
English is the primary Medium of Instruction (MOI).
Curriculum: Secondary education comprises three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination.
Teaching Language Policy: The language education policy of the school aims to enable students to become biliterate and trilingual so that they are proficient in written Chinese and English and able to communicate confidently in Cantonese, English and Putonghua. In addition to the formal curriculum, students have ample opportunities to enhance their language skills in co-curricular activities such as Chinese and English drama, debate and speech festivals. The English Speaking League, established by our alumnae, provides students with the opportunity to learn from native English speakers with outstanding careers.
Secondary One Admission
The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). The table below summarises past years’ allocation figures, including DP places, Central Allocation Part A and Part B places, reserved places, and total places.
| Year | DP | CA:A | CA:B | Resv | Total |

| 2020 | 43 | 7 | 86 | 8 | 144 |

School Fees
This is a government school operated and funded directly by the Education Bureau. Government schools account for approximately 6% of all secondary schools in Hong Kong and provide free secondary education. No school fee is charged. Among the other school types, around 76% are aided schools, 12% are DSS schools, and 5% are private schools. Only DSS and private schools generally charge school fees.
