Academy of Innovation (Confucius Hall), formerly Confucius Hall Secondary School, is a DSS co-educational secondary school in Causeway Bay, founded in 1953 by Confucius Hall. It is a distinctive bilingual school promoting Confucian education. Guided by Filial Piety, Brotherly Love, Loyalty, Integrity, Propriety, Righteousness, Honesty and Shame, it stresses character, knowledge and life development.

✪ This school participates in “DSS Expansion”, under which the Education Bureau allows participating DSS schools to increase the number and size of classes on a trial basis to admit more non-local students holding student visas on a self-financing basis.

Medium of Instruction & Curriculum

Chinese is the primary Medium of Instruction (MOI).

Curriculum: Secondary education comprises three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination.

Teaching Language Policy: The School focuses on trilingualism and biliteracy. Apart from Language Subjects, classes of all subjects with either medium of instruction of Chinese or English will be conducted according to students' ability. NCS Chinese and Chinese History will also be arranged by non-Chinese speaking students which depends on their learning ability.

Secondary One Admission

As a Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) school that does not participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System, the school manages its Secondary One admissions independently. Parents should apply directly to the school and refer to its official website for application dates, admission criteria, required documents and interview arrangements. Applicants are not restricted by school net. Parents who accept an offer from the school will be required to complete the relevant confirmation procedures and give up any subsidised Secondary One place available through the SSPA System.

The School is situated on Caroline Hill Road in Causeway Bay with an area of 120, 000 square meters. The School is built next to a hillside surrounded by flowers and trees with a scenic backyard in an ancient architectural style which makes it an ideal place for students to study, self-reflect and learn about Confucianism. The School is well-equipped with IT facilities including a Multi-Media Language Laboratory, two Computer Rooms, an Intranet, a Self-Learning Platform etc, to help students make use of IT for better communication, collaboration, data searching and data processing for the sake of effective learning.
