Medium of Instruction & Curriculum
English is the primary Medium of Instruction (MOI).
Curriculum: Secondary education comprises three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination.
Teaching Language Policy: English is adopted as the main medium of instruction. All forms have implemented school-based cross-curriculum learning. A school-based speaking curriculum enhances English learning and value education for all F.1-F.2 classes. To create an environment conducive to English learning, activities such as drama, musical, English Debating, Talent show are held. Our students actively participated in English Solo Verse Speaking, Public Speaking, Drama and Debating Competitions, achieving remarkable results.
Secondary One Admission
The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). School Fees
This is an aided school, the most common type of secondary school in Hong Kong. Aided schools account for approximately 76% of all secondary schools and receive government funding to provide free secondary education. No school fee is charged. By comparison, around 12% are DSS schools, 6% are government schools, and 5% are private schools. Only DSS and private schools generally charge school fees.
