Teaching Language Policy: To cultivate a rich English language environment and arouse students' interest and confidence in speaking English, various language learning activities and programmes, such as Language Across the Curriculum (LAC) Day, Read Aloud Programme for junior form students, theme-based learning projects, English Week, English Ambassador Training Programme, TW Joint-school Oxbridge English Summer Camp, English Study Tours to England and Singapore, English Drama Competitions, Speech Festival, sharing sessions with foreign exchange students and the use of English Language Self-access Centre (ELSAC) are organised with the support of the Native English Teacher and English teachers.

Secondary One Admission

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). The table below summarises past years’ allocation figures, including DP places, Central Allocation Part A and Part B places, reserved places, and total places.

This is an aided school, the most common type of secondary school in Hong Kong. Aided schools account for approximately 76% of all secondary schools and receive government funding to provide free secondary education. No school fee is charged. By comparison, around 12% are DSS schools, 6% are government schools, and 5% are private schools. Only DSS and private schools generally charge school fees.
