Holy Family Canossian College is a Catholic girls' EMI aided secondary school in Kowloon City, founded in 1972 by the Canossian Sisters. Drawing on the Canossian tradition of love, humility and service, the school provides a disciplined and caring environment for academic and personal formation. Its Inverness Road campus, English-medium curriculum, religious education and wide range of student development activities make HFCC a long-standing choice for girls' education in Kowloon City.

Medium of Instruction & Curriculum

English is the primary Medium of Instruction (MOI).

Curriculum: Secondary education comprises three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination.

Teaching Language Policy: All subjects are using English as the medium of instruction, except Chinese Language, Chinese History, Chinese Literature, Putonghua, Religious Education, Physical Education and Visual Arts.

Secondary One Admission

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). School Fees

This is an aided school, the most common type of secondary school in Hong Kong. Aided schools account for approximately 76% of all secondary schools and receive government funding to provide free secondary education. No school fee is charged. By comparison, around 12% are DSS schools, 6% are government schools, and 5% are private schools. Only DSS and private schools generally charge school fees.
