Medium of Instruction & Curriculum

Chinese is the primary Medium of Instruction (MOI).

Curriculum: Secondary education comprises three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination.

Teaching Language Policy: According to the Policy of Fine-tuning of Medium of Instruction for Secondary Schools, we have some subjects taught in English for the EMI capable S.1 students. To master the basic skills for bi-literacy and tri-lingualism, enhancement courses are tailor-made for our students. There are also English Week and various reading schemes to enrich students' interest and ability in language learning.

Secondary One Admission

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). This is a government school operated and funded directly by the Education Bureau.
