Medium of Instruction & Curriculum
Chinese is the primary Medium of Instruction (MOI).
Curriculum: Secondary education comprises three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination.
Teaching Language Policy: Our school's language education policy aims at enabling our students to become biliterate and trilingual. Under the fine-tuned medium of instruction (MOI) policy, we make good use of the advantage of mother-tongue teaching to strengthen students' high-order thinking ability. Moreover, approximately 15% of the curriculum in some junior form subjects adopt English as MOI to increase students' interest, proficiency and confidence in using English.
Secondary One Admission
The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). The table below summarises past years’ allocation figures, including DP places, Central Allocation Part A and Part B places, reserved places, and total places.
