In junior forms, certain topics are taught in English in subjects such as Mathematics, Integrated Science, History, Geography, Technology and Living, Design and Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Visual Arts, and Music.
Secondary One Admission
The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). The table below summarises past years’ allocation figures, including DP places, Central Allocation Part A and Part B places, reserved places, and total places.
| Year | DP | CA:A | CA:B | Resv | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2020 | 40 | 8 | 76 | 8 | 132 |
| 2021 | 50 | 11 | 94 | 10 | 165 |
| 2022 | 40 | 8 | 76 | 8 | 132 |
| 2023 | 40 | 8 | 76 | 8 | 132 |
| 2024 | 40 | 8 | 76 | 8 | 132 |
| 2025 | 40 | 8 | 76 | 8 | 132 |
| 2026 | 40 | 8 | 76 | 8 | 132 |

School Fees
This is an aided school, the most common type of secondary school in Hong Kong. Aided schools account for approximately 76% of all secondary schools and receive government funding to provide free secondary education. No school fee is charged. By comparison, around 12% are DSS schools, 6% are government schools, and 5% are private schools. Only DSS and private schools generally charge school fees.

School Mission & Governance
(1) Our school motto is “Nurturing oneself so as to reach out to others,“ emphasizing the all-around development of students in the five domains: morality, intellect, physical health, social skills, and aesthetics. (2) We cultivate students’ abilities in both written and spoken Chinese and English, as well as information technology. We fully promote e-Learning and Self-Directed Learning. Extended English Learning Activities are introduced from S.1 to strengthen students’ English proficiency. (3) We integrate abundant external resources to help discover and cultivate students’ unique potential, empowering them to become “Confident, Caring and Committed” NgYukers.
