Medium of Instruction & Curriculum

Chinese is the primary Medium of Instruction (MOI).

Curriculum: Secondary education comprises three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination.

Teaching Language Policy: To emphasize the importance of writing and reading, we have Morning Study Period, split classes on both Chinese and English writing in senior forms, and speaking classes conducted by NETs. To enhance students' proficiency in academic English, align with international standards, and improve their competitiveness for further studies, the school has introduced an 'English as a Medium of Instruction' (EMI) program in junior form(S1-S3) and has incorporated the International Advanced Level (IAL) curriculum in senior form.

Secondary One Admission

The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). The table below summarises past years’ allocation figures, including DP places, Central Allocation Part A and Part B places, reserved places, and total places.
