Medium of Instruction & Curriculum
English is the primary Medium of Instruction (MOI).
Curriculum: Secondary education comprises three years of junior secondary and three years of senior secondary education leading to the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination.
Teaching Language Policy: English is used as the main medium of instruction. For details, please refer to the subjects offered/to be offered in the 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 school years. We implement the policy of 'biliteracy and trilingualism' through the Chinese and English Reading Award Scheme and a variety of Chinese, English and Putonghua activities. From school year 2025/2026 onwards, the school will use Putonghua as the medium of instruction for teaching Chinese Language in one of our S.1 groups.
Secondary One Admission
The Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System is Hong Kong's official mechanism for distributing subsidized Secondary One places to primary school graduates. The allocation operates in two distinct, consecutive phases. First, the Discretionary Places (DP) stage allows students to apply directly to individual schools based on academic and interview merits. Second, remaining places are funneled into the Central Allocation (CA) stage, which is subdivided into Part A (unrestricted, territory-wide choices) and Part B (restricted, district-based choices). The table below summarises past years’ allocation figures, including DP places, Central Allocation Part A and Part B places, reserved places, and total places.
| Year | DP | CA:A | CA:B | Resv | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2020 | 40 | 6 | 78 | 8 | 132 |
| 2021 | 40 | 6 | 78 | 8 | 132 |

School Fees
This is an aided school, the most common type of secondary school in Hong Kong. Aided schools account for approximately 76% of all secondary schools and receive government funding to provide free secondary education. No school fee is charged. By comparison, around 12% are DSS schools, 6% are government schools, and 5% are private schools. Only DSS and private schools generally charge school fees.

School Mission & Governance
Following the ideas of “Moral, Intellectual, Physical, Social and Aesthetic” as the school missions, the school puts equal emphasis on boosting students’ academic performance, nurturing students as a cultivated person and maintaining a free and harmonious environment so that our students can learn effectively and develop their potentials thoroughly. The school anticipates our students can learn to be an all-round, righteous and responsible citizen.
