Understanding IB Programmes and Diploma Results
An IB World School is a school authorised by the International Baccalaureate (IB) to offer one or more of its educational programmes. These include the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 3–12, Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11–16, and Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) for ages 16–19. Not every IB World School offers all four programmes.
In the directory above, "IB Since" indicates when a school first became an IB World School, while the PYP, MYP, DP and CP columns show the authorisation dates for individual programmes. These dates are not necessarily the dates when the schools were established.
The 2025 IB Diploma average scores are shown out of a maximum of 45 points, together with available cohort sizes. Results should be considered alongside cohort size and other aspects of a school's educational provision, rather than used as the sole measure of school quality.
Data Sources and Notes
IB World School numbers and programme authorisation dates are based on information published by the International Baccalaureate (IB). The 2025 IB Diploma (IBDP) average scores and cohort sizes have been compiled from individual schools' official websites and IB-Schools.com league tables. Examination results are included where available and may not cover every school.
